This senior cybersecurity engineering leader role applies AI, advanced analytics, and automation to enhance cybersecurity capabilities across the organisation. Build and lead a dedicated cybersecurity data and engineering enablement function with emphasis on AI-enabled design and data-driven visibility. Ensure security telemetry is designed for optimised visibility, reporting, and governance at enterprise scale.

Work closely with CTS leadership, Risk, Audit, Infrastructure teams, and cyber defence programme leadership. Transition new security capabilities from design into sustainable Day-2 operations with established data, automation, and operating models. Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on experience applying AI to real-world security engineering challenges within financial services or similarly regulated environments
Expertise in AI-enabled capability design, automation-by-design operating models, and data-driven visibility for cybersecurity
Experience building and leading cybersecurity data and engineering enablement functions
Strong knowledge of security telemetry design, onboarding, optimisation, and governance at enterprise scale
Proficiency in integrating AI, advanced analytics, and automation into cybersecurity engineering
Ability to collaborate with CTS leadership, Risk, Audit, Infrastructure, and cyber defence teams
Technical authority on security data structuring, integration, and consumption across platforms

Responsibilities

Lead the application of AI-enabled approaches across cybersecurity engineering, including capability design, data correlation, reporting, prioritisation, and insight generation
Define and deliver hands-on, production-grade AI use cases that reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and enhance security capability management
Support internal development and enhancement of security tooling using in-house AI capabilities, ensuring measurable, sustainable, and operationally consumable solutions
Translate emerging AI technologies into engineering solutions with clear ownership, value, and lifecycle considerations
Build and lead a cybersecurity engineering and data enablement team focused on automation, visibility, and lifecycle support of security capabilities
Act as a senior technical authority on how security telemetry is structured, integrated, governed, and consumed across enterprise platforms
Establish scalable engineering approaches that reduce duplication, noise, and long-term operational overhead
Participate early in new capability design and evaluation phases to shape telemetry requirements, data integration models, and visibility outcomes
