Monzo

London, GB · Full-time · £76,500 – £95,000

About this role

Monzo is on a mission to make money work for everyone, waving goodbye to complicated traditional banking. From a prepaid card, offerings have grown to include personal and business bank accounts, joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, free kids accounts, credit cards, savings, investments, and pensions in the UK.

Analytics Engineering is at the core of building a performant, scalable, high-quality data warehouse to enable better, faster decisions at Monzo. The team of around 60 Analytics Engineers out of 300 data practitioners has big ambitions to make the Data Warehouse a competitive advantage.

You'll build downstream data models from backend services mostly in BigQuery, supporting internal reporting, machine learning, financial reconciliation, and regulatory use cases. Focus on warehouse optimization to reduce complexity and cost, while defining best practices for payload design, logical data modeling, implementation, metadata, and testing.

Work collaboratively with product, engineering, and data science teams through regular knowledge-sharing sessions. Set data standards across Monzo, monitor data quality, contribute to governance prioritisation, and own pipelines with occasional on-call support.
