About this role

As a Lead Data Scientist at HERE Technologies, you will drive the development and advancement of AI and machine learning solutions across multiple product lines. You will lead efforts to design, develop, and enhance AI/ML workflows, models, and algorithms. This role focuses on impactful work in location data and spatial technologies.

Day-to-day, collaborate with cross-functional teams on diverse topics such as vegetation, building footprints and attributes, point clouds, sign detection, and motorway junction abstractions. Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and technical approach. Work within the Visual & Spatial Content teams building high-quality maps and spatial data products across the HERE UniMap architecture.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience developing, testing, and deploying machine learning and AI solutions
  • Strong understanding of learning algorithms, computer vision, 3D math, geometry, point clouds, and graphics
  • Experience working in cloud-based distributed environments and in Agile development settings
  • Exposure to the complete software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment
  • Experience deploying models on cloud platforms using Docker or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Java/Scala and Python, with C++ experience as a strong advantage
  • Clear and effective communication skills
