This role plays a major part in delivering our Group Data Strategy and Data Transformation Journey by enhancing and maintaining the IQEQ Data Platform. It drives how data is managed to deliver outcomes maximising business value and growth for stakeholders and clients. The position is a deeply technical, hands-on Engineering Manager role requiring direct involvement in data pipeline architecture.

You will get directly involved in expanding, optimizing, constructing, troubleshooting, and refining complex data pipelines. Responsibilities demand practical expertise in data wrangling and leveraging significant data assets for production-ready models. You ensure optimal data delivery architecture across ongoing projects.

You actively support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists by implementing data initiatives end-to-end. Work self-directed across multiple teams, systems, and products while balancing hands-on delivery with technical leadership. This delivers improvements for internal and external stakeholders in a trusted partner environment.

Requirements

Experienced data engineering practitioner with proven track record in building and managing complex data infrastructures
Extensive current experience constructing, troubleshooting, and refining data pipelines through direct hands-on work
Practical technical expertise in data wrangling and leveraging significant data assets to build production-ready models
Ability to ensure optimal data delivery architecture consistent throughout projects
Self-directed comfort supporting data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products
Hands-on capability in expanding and optimizing data pipeline architecture

Responsibilities

Deliver the Group Data Strategy and Data Transformation journey by leading delivery, enhancement, and maintenance of the IQEQ Data Platform to maximise business value and growth
Operate as a deeply technical, hands-on Engineering Manager directly building, expanding, optimising, and troubleshooting complex production-ready data pipeline architectures
Apply extensive data engineering expertise to construct, refine, and manage large-scale data infrastructures using complex data assets
Actively support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists by implementing data initiatives end-to-end
Ensure consistent and optimal data delivery architecture throughout ongoing projects across multiple teams, systems, and products
Work autonomously balancing hands-on data delivery with cross-team technical leadership
